Good morning Heavenly Father,
I have risen in the quietness, washed and clothed myself, and now look to you for your love and forgiveness.
You are the source of all goodness and love throughout Your creation, Your eternity, and thereby in each and every day of our mortal lives here on earth. Father, I want to be a good and loving follower of Your Son, Jesus, and I want to walk with You – today, and each remaining day in my life. As Jesus taught us, I now pray:
Father in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdome come. Thy will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven. Give us, today, our daily bread, and forgive our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen
Lord Jesus Christ, You are our light and our life: thank you for Your love, Your forgiveness, and for our redemption. Jesus You told us that the kingdom of God is at hand.
Heavanly Father, I now pray to willingly be part of Your plan for me today. I also pray for Jesus to save me when I falter in my faith and feel like I am sinking. Help me and hold me up, Lord Jesus, to focus and worship only God the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit with all my love and by loving all others that I may meet today. I pray, Lord, that you will help me to do this each and every day.
Lord you are compassion and mercy: while I have life, let me sing and be thankful to God.
HYMN: GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine with 10, 000 beside
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Father, Your only Son died to save us through redemption from sin – sin that separates us from You: Please help me, I pray, to worship You with praise, thanksgiving, deep mindfulness and sincere contrition for any sin I commit throughout this day.
LordJesus, You are with us each day: Risen Lord, we worship and praise You for Your love in the midst of our fears and failings.
Dear God, You renew the face of the earth each day. Thank you for your daily love and the daily beauty in this world. Open our eyes to recognize Your presence around us, in those we meet, and within us.
HYMN: Our God Reigns
How lovely on the mountains
are the feet of him
Who bring good news, good news:
Announcing peace,
Proclaiming news of happiness.
Our God reigns, our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
He had no stately form, He had no majesty
That we should be drawn to Him.
He was despised and we took no account of Him,
Yet now He reigns with the Most High.
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
It was our sin and guilt
That bruised and wounded Him.
It was our sin that brought Him down.
When we like sheep had gone astray
Our Shepherd came
And on His shoulders bore our shame.
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Meek as a lamb that’s led out to the slaughterhouse,
Dumb as a sheep before its shearer,
His life ran down upon the ground like pouring rain
That we might be born again.
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
(Verse 5)
Out of the tomb He came with grace and majesty;
He is alive, He is alive.
God loves us so, see here His hands, His feet, His side.
Yes, we know He is alive.
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Our God reigns! Our God reigns!
Father help me each day to always sing and pray for others. Guide me to know and do the things You would have me do, through the help of Your Holy Spirit, I pray.
Psalm 121:
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you —
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm —
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
This morning, I reaffirm my commitment to love all others and to pray to God, who is Father, and Creator; Son and Redeemer; and Holy Spirit, guide and enabler. God, Your Holy Scripture teaches me that in Your hands are the caverns of the earth and the heights of the hills. The sea is Yours for You made it, and Your hands have moulded the dry land. I pray, please let me daily wonder and kneel before You. For you alone are God, and by Your grace I am one of your children, the people of Your pastures and the sheep of Your hand. Today, wiith God’s help, I will listen to Your voice and call.
Be joyful and live in the Lord, all you lands and peoples. Help us Lord, I pray, to serve You with gladness and steadfastness.
Let me always praise Your presence with a song in my heart that proclaims my faith in you:
(The Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
(The two greatest commandments)
Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
This is Your first and the great commandment. The second is like it:
Love your neighbour as yourself.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us today and for evermore. Amen.
God of hope please fill us with all joy and peace, and love. Believing through the power of the Holy Spirit, we pray. Amen.
God of peace please enable us to do Your will in every kind of goodness – working in us what pleases You, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
HYMN; HOW GREAT THOU ART
Oh Lord, my God, When I, in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration
And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Closing prayer:
Lord bless us and keep us. Lord shine on us and be gracious to us. Lord help us to share willingly with others, as You look upon us with favour
and grant us peace. Amen
